//shrouds of clouds//

I don't even know if anyone is still reading this, but I'll update it anyway. :)

Not too much is new lately.
This past week I was working a lot on a project we had on 1st and 2nd Samuel. I don't know if I told you, but we are reading through the Old Testament while we are here. So I got the project finished about 2 hours before it was due. oofda! <--speaking of, everyone here makes fun of my "Minnesotan" accent...o much that I'm actually starting to hear the accent! haha. And everyone laughed when I said I was craving Swedish meatballs, wild rice soup, pepparkakor, and Norwegian toast!! haha. I guess that DOES make me sound Minnesotan...

Last night was "family night". We are each in a family group that different members of the staff lead. There are about 12 people in my family group and we have a lot of fun! Last night we went to our "parents" house and had a birthday party! We just celebrated everyone's birthday with games and cake and ice-cream. It was a lot of fun and we didn't get back until after lock-up, so we had some adventures around the castle in the dark...haha

Today a bunch of people went into Lancaster to see "New Moon" (the second Twilight movie that came out). The rest of us are just hanging out around the castle, which is really nice and relaxing. It is a gray, rainy day...big shocker. ;) I got my laundry done already and might go for a walk later.
Tonight the social committee planned a costume party! The beginning letters for each persons last name was assigned something that everyone with a last name beginning with that letter has to dress up as. The M's get to dress up as GEEKS! haha. It will be SO funny, I can't wait. Some friends are coming to my room and we're all going to get ready together. Here are some of the things people have to dress up as: cavemen, Greeks, historical figures, pirates, villains, samurai, royalty, rockers, futurists, etc. I'll definitely take a lot of pictures!!!

That's about it for now! Hope everyone is doing well.
Love you all.

::a cute, little numpty::

I have been meaning to update this for quite a while, but never get around to it, so now I finally will!
If you are wondering what the title means, my friend Dave from Scotland said that numpty means "idiot" in Scotland. I think it's such a cute word (reminds me of a troll or elf or something), so that's my new nickname for people. :) haha
Anyhoo: this past week we had two lecturers...one spoke on the Sermon on the Mount (very good) and then other spoke on Effective Ministry. This seemed like a very long week...so I am very glad that it is Friday!
Today was work day for me, and thankfully I got an easy duty (cleaning the lounge hall and entrance), so we were done by 12:10pm. The only downside was spraying and breathing in very strong furniture polish. no bueno.
Yesterday was a wonderful day. It's the first time in a while where I haven't had any projects to work on during free time, so i went on a walk with a friend. It was rainy, but we wore wellies and i jumped in all the puddles, as usual. Then we ended up splashing each other with the puddles (he started it...lol) and ended up completely soaked! I spent the rest of the day just hanging out around the castle, playing cards, ping-pong, talking, etc. it was great. :)
Tonight my room with probably have a movie night....Friday night tradition! Tomorrow I can't wait to sleep in! yay!
a couple random thoughts now: (can't forget those!)
-Ah, I miss ice cubes! I think i've only had ice cubes ONCE since being here. Sad day.
-you'll be proud to know that yesterday I had 2 glasses of milk! and no one forced me! (NO, i didn't like it)
-they have Mars bars here...super amazingness! I don't think we have them in America...(it's like a 3 Musketeers, but with caramel, too! mmmm)
-Since Thanksgiving is coming up, the Americans are planning a special surprise. ;) I can't say anything....don't want any of the Canadians to hear about it. haha
-Tonight is "British Night"....the Brits are planning it and we have no idea what's going to happen for it. I just hope it doesn't involve marmite or black pudding...

I think that'll be enough for now...I am sooo tired! If you want to know anything else about life over here, just ask me!
love you all and miss you!
